Janome Sewing Machines

- Memory Craft, Gold & Mini

Janome created the first computer programmable sewing machine on the market.  That first model, the Memory 7, was introduced in 1979.

Today’s models, such as the Memory Craft 11000, combine all of the features for beautiful quilting, sewing, and embroidery in one compact machine.

The beauty of this machine is its large workspace while the lack of needed attachments for embroidery features still keeps the machine compact; the look of the machine, though, is not near as impressive as the precision stitching it delivers.

You can find used Janome machines for sale, refurbished and in excellent condition at a low price.

Such as the Janome New Home 8048, a great model for home décor and quilting; this model doesn’t have all of the bells and whistles of an embroidery machine but it is reliable for utility or an extra machine for the avid seamstress.

Memory Craft Professional

Another good model produced by Janome is the Memory Craft 6600 Professional.  The 6600 P is preferred for sewing and quilting and comes equipped with the memory craft Acufeed system; a layered fabric system that guides the fabric from the top and bottom as it feeds through the machine.

The Jem Gold 2 is another excellent and portable choice for the quilter.  It offers twelve essential stitches and is easily stored and, at twelve pounds, it’s easily stored and moved.

Sew Mini

Another great buy is the Janome Sew Mini, aptly titled as it’s a small machine weighing in at only five pounds.

It carries the same great features and precision stitching as Janome’s full size models, but is great for the young learner or the constant seamstress in need of an extra machine.  Fast and effective, the mini offers all of the straight stitch features necessary for mending and quilting.

Embroidery & Digitizer Pro

Janome’s newest machines offer the best in technology.  The combination embroidery sewing machines come equipped with high resolution, sizable touch screens where the crafter can view their pattern.

The features are user friendly, making your design easy to edit, zoom in for better use, and utilize with the normal sew setting.  Janome also produces excellent software for your embroidery needs, such as the digitizer pro.

The digitizer pro allows you to create your own original design utilizing the specialized drawing tools to enhance your embroidery work.

No need to worry about accounting for the medium of thread and fabric, or concerns over bunching or breakage due to pictures that aren’t conducive to needle work, the software translates your design to the proper embroidery format.

... and software

If you’re not feeling too creative, the software also allows for scanned pictures, computer icons, and standard embroidery designs.  All of which is easily formatted with the advanced editing feature.

Overall, Janome carries an excellent line of computerized sewing machines and accessories, from beginner to the well seasoned crafter.
