What is the best sewing machine for quilting? 

The answer is a varied as the crafters who use them.  A quilting sewing machine might be a basic household sewing machine, or the top of the line embroidery sewing combination machine.  It all depends on the crafter, their sensibility and preference.

          Some quilters prefer Janome’s Memory Craft 11000.  This model combines all of the best features for quilting, sewing, and embroidery and offers the largest workspace available between the arm and the machine, which many quilters find unbeatable.  Bernina and Baby Lock are both high quality manufacturers that offer excellent sewing and embroidery capabilities.  Bernina users will point to the fabulous service and class tutorials along with the quality of the machine’s stitch capability.  Baby Lock models are geared toward design creativity with fine detail and stability.
